In our “Pixel Art with Binary Numbers” project, students combined creativity with computational thinking to turn abstract computer science concepts into visual art. This project aimed to develop both technical and creative skills through a structured and interactive process. Students learned about the binary numbering system and used this knowledge to create pixel art. By converting images into binary code, they represented each pixel with binary values. Through this project, students reinforced their understanding of numbering systems and coding while experiencing the joy of creating artwork through technology. This activity stimulated critical thinking and problem-solving, essential elements of computational thinking.
